Okay, friends. I need your help. I am in need of some serious workout inspiration.
Let's catch up.
In the summer and early fall, I had been doing some running and the Chalean Extreme DVDs. I was starting to get some pretty serious guns. But with the move, working out was pushed to the back burner as I focused on selling our house and moving us to Fort Worth. That was a workout in itself.
Since then, my left knee has been bugging me. Add in some unusually cold and rainy mornings, holiday festivities (aka. mild hangovers also known as collisions with a wine bottle), and flat out laziness and that pretty much sums up where I am at.
I am doing my best to get back into the swing of things. But remember that cute toddler that I claim as my own? Yeh, she has other ideas... like running off with my weights while I take a sip of water. That will teach me to hydrate during a workout!
So now I just have this whole drawer of running paraphernalia and workout DVDs that mock me loudly. I try to work out during nap time in the afternoon. But let's face it, if I don't work out first thing in the morning, there is a 70/30 chance that it is not going to happen.
I am thinking about joining the Y here. They seem to have a pretty good child care set up and I think Little B will LOVE some time with some other kids her own age. They have a few classes - Zumba, Cardio Bootcamp, Spinning - that look interesting.
But outside of that, I am lacking some serious motivation. So here is where you come in with your crazy ass cheerleader pep talk. Here is what I want to know...
No, actually that last part is a lie. I have no control over who Ryan Gosling dates or even when he takes his shirt off for that matter. But wouldn't that be some FINE motivation right there. That would definitely get me working out no matter what the weather is. So if anyone knows him, feel free to let me know that as well.

- What keeps you motivated?
- Any new workouts/DVDs/classes that you are loving?
- What is your workout routine?
- To all you moms out there, how do you fit in working out with your kiddos running around?
