I love me some brussel sprouts! I did not always love them, but I recently learned a trick to make them delicious. And the process could not be more simple.
After they have been cleaned, I cut them in half and sautee them in olive oil and sea salt. And when I am feeling extra sassy, I add a pat of butter and/or bacon. Bacon makes everything better. Anyways, no matter what i add, the trick is to let them cook long enough so that a gorgeous brown carmelizing goodness occurs on the insides. Letting them cook that long brings out this amazing nutty flavor that otherwise would not be there.
All this talk is now making me hungry.
