Unexpected finds

Posted on 06:29 by Roger
Every morning, Little B and I go for a walk or run around the neighborhood.  Often it is with my friend, Sara.  And sometimes it is just the two of us with an audio book or workout music playing through my iPod.

As we go, we see other mamas out pushing strollers, people driving off to work, and retired folk tending to their yards.  We wave at the friendly faces and swap comments about how babies are growing up to fast. Our walk is one of my most favorite parts of the day and without it, I feel a bit off for the rest of the day.

Little B also enjoys our routine as this is when she gets to point out buses and trucks and, best of all, catch a glimpse of the magical choo-choo train (the metro-rail).  If we do not go on our walk, I hear about it all day long.  "Train?  Train? Train?"

Well, yesterday's walk proved to be extra beneficial.  We unexpectedly stumbled on some great finds that someone was trying to get rid of.  And while many will look at these and think I am crazy to be excited about broken-down furniture, I am okay with that.  Because with a little love, some new hardware, a bit of paint, and lot of hard work, I think I can make these as good as new.

This one is laying on its side due to a busted leg.  Easy fix.
