Surviving the Little Helper stage

Posted on 07:15 by Roger
Little B has a new theme the past few weeks that is endearing, but also driving me a little crazy at the same time.
Little B cleaning the floor

"Help. Mama." as she pulls all my shoes out of the closet.

"Mama. Help." as she grabs all the clean, folded washcloths and proceeds to scrub the floor with each one.

"Help. Mama." as she colors the pages of my favorite cookbook with her fat blue crayon.

"Mama. Help." as she locks me out of the house as I am bringing in groceries.  Don't worry.  I had my car keys on me.

"Help. Mama." as she pulls all the spices off the spice rack as I am cooking dinner.

"Mama. Help." as she throws my library book into the trash.

I need help for my Little Helper!  I know this is just a stage.  And it is very cute.  But sometimes you just have to get stuff done... without help... like going to the bathroom.

Getting ready to vacuum
Some things we have figured out how to "help" in a good way.  For example, when I vacuum, Little B pushes her little popper toy all around the house and shows me any areas I have missed.  That we have down.  And when I cook, I give Little B her own spatula and bowl to mix stuff in like mama does.  But her interest in that only last 5 minutes.

So I am issuing a plea for help and suggestions from other mamas.  Please help this rookie out! How do you survive the Little Helper stage?
